Lisa Altmann is a free-spirited soul with an irresistible drive to create a mean-tasting pop. She started experimenting casually with pop recipes in her own kitchen, and went pro in the summer of 2008. Viva Pops made their debut at the Little Italy Mercato, and you can meet Lisa there, selling her Viva Pops with her wonderful husband Jack and their adorable ice cream cart, “Chiquita.” Viva Pops is right at home with other boutique food vendors and local farmers at the Mercato who supply Viva Pops with local and organic fruits and herbs. Since Viva Pops is a small, independently owned company it is easy to keep their roots and support local farmers and the community.
